Trisha Krishnan ( born May 4, 1983) is an Indian actress and model who stars in most of the Tamil and Telugu language films. After her first appearance in the Tamil film Jodi, 1999, in a supporting role, she won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress for her first starring role in the first film of 2002 Mounam Pesiyadhe. Later, she gained fame with films successful, Saamy (2003) and Ghilli (2004) in Tamil cinema and Varsham (2004) in Telugu film, where her first Filmfare Award for Best Southern actress before receiving the same prize four times. She made her debut in Bollywood film Khatta Meetha of 2010 against Akshay Kumar. She was seen in her best career performance Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), for which she won the award for favorite Vijay heroin and was nominated for the Filmfare Award Best Actress Tamil and many other prizes.
